Living in Florida, high temperatures and unpredictable storms are something we expect to live with. Unfortunately, unstable weather has become a global environmental crisis, commonly referred to as "Climate Change".
Climate change is generally defined as a significant variation of average weather conditions—say, conditions becoming warmer, wetter, or drier—over several decades or more. It’s the longer-term trend that differentiates climate change from natural weather variability.
We've just had some of the biggest shopping days of the year: Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, and Cyber Monday. It's a great time to get good deals on gifts for your friends and family, as well as expensive stuff you've been saving up for all year. I love that there is an official day for giving back as well; this year, Tuesday, 11/30 is Giving Tuesday!
What good are family traditions? I guess I find them comforting, and they give me a sense of stability in a world that is changing more every day. They remind me that even in challenging times, there are some things that never change, like the importance of family, the importance of gratitude, and the value of taking the time to prioritize kindness and giving.
November is Native American Heritage Month, which we celebrate to honor Native Americans and their history, culture and traditions. It’s important for us all to realize that Native American cultures are alive, breathing, and beautiful.
