Teen Think Tank: That's A Wrap!

2023 is drawing to a close, but it isn't over just yet. December is one of the most festive months of the year, a time when many gather together and turn their thoughts toward others. Check out our reads and resources below for a range of different ways to show someone you care during the holiday season!

What does it really mean to be kind...and why does it sometimes feel so hard to do? Kendall and Max struggle with these questions when they witness a tragic accident during the holiday season. Racked with guilt, the two accept a dare to perform random acts of kindness to strangers. The challenge pulls them closer and closer, even though they both have other romantic entanglements and uncertain futures. As the clock counts down on New Year's Eve, will they find themselves together at midnight?

Questions to think about while you read:

  • How do you feel when you are on the receiving end of kindness?
  • What is the greatest act of kindness you have ever heard of or observed?
  • What is something kind that you could do this week?

#LISTEN: DIY Gift Wrapping

If your kindness takes on a more tangible form, scrounge up some old newspaper or maps, paper bags from the store, or even worn out fabrics and follow along with HGTV to wrap presents like a real pro.

Questions to think about while you listen:

  • Which do you prefer: presents that are gift-wrapped or in gift bags?
  • What is the most difficult shape or size of a gift that you've ever had to wrap or cover?
  • Do you think it's acceptable to give unwrapped or uncovered gifts? Why or why not?
