#Free Bookish Fun for Readers of All Ages
Jax Book Fest returns from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 19, 2026, featuring New York Times bestselling authors John Patrick Green, Jennifer Lynn Barnes, and Emma Straub. Held annually at the Main Library in Downtown Jacksonville, this free, annual book bash invites you to interact with authors of local and national acclaim, attend free author talks, buy books, and participate in other fun “bookish” activities.
Of course, we also have 15 book clubs around the city - each providing great reading recommendations every month. Either way, the library is a great place for meeting and being in community with other book lovers!
