JaxKids Book Club is a project of the Library Foundation of Jacksonville and the Jacksonville Public Library that establishes and enhances the home libraries of all preschoolers in Duval County by providing them with new books that feature the landmarks and locations of Jacksonville. We distribute a backpack full of books automatically to registered voluntary pre-kindergarten (VPK) students each fall at the beginning of their school year.

#More Storytimes
Little Readers and Sensory-Friendly Storytime
You want your child to have all the tools they need to start school. Little Readers is the toolbox! We start with a story they'll love, and add music, get everyone up and moving and then we sprinkle in other fun to make it all stick.
Attendance is limited. Little Readers storytime is first-come, first-served (no pre-registration required). Please arrive early. Check in starts 30 minutes prior to the start of the program.
Please note: Need a reminder? Add to your iCalendar, Google Calendar, Outlook or Yahoo! Calendar. Just click on the event you're interested in and find "Add to Calendar" under the date and time.
We also have a Sensory Friendly Storytime (at select locations) for children with sensory sensitivities. It combines traditional storytime components with supportive elements. Registration is recommended as attendance is limited to enhance the experience.
