#Do You Love Books?
August 9 is National Book Lover's Day - a day to celebrate book fans all across the country. We're marking the occasion with a few recommended reads and some exciting news! In case you haven't heard, Jax Book Fest returns to the Main Library from September 20-21.
An annual celebration of authors, books, and writing, this year's event will feature three #1 New York Times bestselling authors, dozens of up-and-coming local authors, workshops for writers, live children's performers, book-related activities and challenges for kids, a showcase of talented teen writers, and so much more! It's a great time to be a book lover in Jacksonville! Save the date and save your seat at a Lit Chat author program or Writer's Lab workshop now!

Books for Adults
At Jacksonville Public Library, we celebrate book lovers every day! Not only do we have all the best books - available in hardcover, paperback, large print, and audiobook formats - but you also have access to digital formats through Libby, hoopla, Tumblebook, and Biblioboard Library.
We also have a year-round reading challenge for adults designed to expand your reading horizons and we participate in Mayor Deegan's River City Readers city-wide literacy challenge. If you want to interact with other book lovers outside of big events like Jax Book Fest, you can also join a Library Book Club and get even more book recommendations from readers just like you!
