Tia Mackey Leathers is the Executive Director of the Family and Community Engagement Department for Duval County Public Schools (DCPS).  Leathers provides oversight to District Athletics, JROTC, Community Education, Driver Education, Extended Day, Volunteer Services, the 5000 Role Models of Excellence Project, the district’s Parent Academy, Faith-Based/Business Partnerships, and organizes the United Way Campaign for the district’s more than 13,000 employees.

Reggie Gaffney, City Council Liaison

In 1993, after many years in the mental-health services field, Reggie Gaffney recognized the need to address a highly under served community of disenfranchised people faced with challenges stemming from mental illness, substance abuse as well as HIV/AIDS on Jacksonville's Northside. In response, he and two co-workers established the Community Rehabilitation Center, Inc. (CRC) 24 years ago which today provides Primary and Behavioral Healthcare as well as social services and economic development opportunities to those faced with employment barriers.

Terrance Freeman, City Council Liaison

Terrance Freeman is a proud husband and father of four daughters.  After a successful professional baseball career, he earned college and advanced degrees in physical education, sports psychology, and is working on his Doctorate in educational administration. 
 
His work experience includes his service as an Executive Council Assistant for the City of Jacksonville, the Political Affairs Manager for the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce, and over ten years as a teacher, a school administrator, and coach.

Matt Swanson

Dr. Matt Swanson is Associate Vice President of Financial Management at Jacksonville University. In this role, Matt is responsible for supporting student, employee, and stakeholder success through the strategic management and allocation of JU’s resources. Matt oversees the Controller’s Office (University Accounting), Budgets, Financial Planning and Analysis, Purchasing, Audits, and Campus Services.

Fernando Meza

Fernando Meza

A native of Los Angeles, California, Fernando Meza has lived in Jacksonville since 2003, when he was stationed aboard the USS John F. Kennedy Aircraft Carrier as a member in the US Navy. Throughout his enlistment, he worked at a local bar in Jacksonville Beach where he learned the traits of mixology and sharpened his customer service background. Entrenching himself into a new community, Fernando began engaging in local political and non-profit organizations.

Celia Nass is senior director of Corporate Accounting and Financial Reporting at Southeastern Grocers, the parent company of BI-LO, Harveys, Fresco y Más and Winn-Dixie, which is headquartered in Jacksonville, Florida. She has held leadership positions in corporate accounting, financial reporting, and investor relations, and has provided audit and business advisory services with the public accounting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Donnie Horner III is the Chief Operating Officer of the City of Jacksonville's Kids Hope Alliance.  An experienced sales and marketing professional, his previous career took him to Beaver Street Fisheries, where his sales accounts included Fortune 500 companiess, small family owned businesses, and sole proprietorships. An experienced sales and marketing professional, he travels extensively and is responsible for executing the company's strategic sales initiatives.

W. Marc Hardesty

W. Marc Hardesty

Marc Hardesty is a founding partner of the Jacksonville law firm, Hardesty, Tyde, Green & Ashton, P.A. since 1994. Prior to that, he served as assistant state attorney for Florida’s Fourth Judicial Circuit from 1990-1994.

Mr. Hardesty earned his Juris Doctorate from the Mercer University and a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Furman University, where he was a four-year varsity member of the wrestling team.

Jill Langford Dame is the CEO of Leadership Jacksonville.  Her previous employment has included practicing law, teaching, consultancy for nonprofit organizations, and interim executive directorship for nonprofits. She has been actively involved in the Junior League of Jacksonville, PACE Center for Girls Jacksonville, the Nonprofit Center of Northeast Florida, Willing Hands, Girls on the Run of Northeast Florida, Episcopal School of Jacksonville, Jacksonville Women’s Network, The Meninak Club of Jacksonville, and the Florida Bar.

Guy K. Anderson is a senior consultant at Kirkpatrick & Associates, Inc., specializing in information technology and services, and utility industry analytics. His clients include groups and organizations supporting the North American utility and power industry. During his 39 years in business, Anderson has sold IT services to Fortune 500 companies, major utilities and major financial institutions, and has managed client relations for large-scale projects involving software development and implementations.
