Rahman K. Ross-Johnson was elected in 2023 to represent District 14 on the Jacksonville City Council. He is a professor of journalism and communications at Edward Waters University, the oldest private institution of higher education in Florida.
Councilman Johnson was born and raised in Jacksonville. He graduated with honors from Jean Ribault High School, and holds degrees from Edward Waters University, Seton Hall University, and is currently a PhD candidate at Jackson State University.

Molly McLendon is a Senior Attorney at Children’s Legal Services for the Department of Children and Families. She has prior experience as an Assistant State Attorney and as a Legal Recruiter working throughout Florida.

Kimano Edwards is a trial attorney with Morgan & Morgan who has spent over a decade in public service with experience as a sworn law enforcement officer and a prosecutor in Florida’s 4th Judicial Circuit. As a police officer, Kimano protected and served local communities in Gainesville, FL and Jacksonville, FL. As an Assistant State Attorney, he represented the state of Florida in the prosecution of criminal offenses where he managed and litigated a high volume of diverse cases—ranging from municipal ordinances to felonies.
Celia Nass is Vice President, Corporate Comptroller at Southeastern Grocers, the parent company of BI-LO, Harveys, Fresco y Más and Winn-Dixie, which is headquartered in Jacksonville, Florida. She has held leadership positions in corporate accounting, financial reporting, and investor relations, and has provided audit and business advisory services with the public accounting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers.
