Joyce Morgan, City Council Liaison

Re-elected for another 4-year term to the Jacksonville City Council, Joyce Morgan assumes new duties as Chair of the Rules Committee and Chair of the Value Adjustment Board. In addition, she will again serve on the Neighborhoods, Community Services, Public Health & Safety Committee. Last year, Morgan was Vice Chair of the Finance Committee. First elected in 2015, she served as the City Council Floor Leader. Her uncompromising leadership garnered her the “Charles D. Webb Award”. That is the City Council’s most prestigious internal award for commitment to public service.

Danny, having just recently retired after 27 years was the President and founder of Planogramming Solutions, Inc., an international outsourcing Retail Space Management Solutions Company founded in 1991 here in Jacksonville, Florida. Prior to starting his company, in 1985 he moved to Jacksonville working for Winn-Dixie Corporate after having graduated from Valdosta State University, earning degrees in Business Management & Management Information Systems. Danny has served on the VSU Harley Langdale Jr. College of Business School Advisory Board for many years.

Tia Mackey Leathers is the Executive Director of the Family and Community Engagement Department for Duval County Public Schools (DCPS).  Leathers provides oversight to District Athletics, JROTC, Community Education, Driver Education, Extended Day, Volunteer Services, the 5000 Role Models of Excellence Project, the district’s Parent Academy, Faith-Based/Business Partnerships, and organizes the United Way Campaign for the district’s more than 13,000 employees.

Fernando Meza

Fernando Meza

A native of Los Angeles, California, Fernando Meza has lived in Jacksonville since 2003, when he was stationed aboard the USS John F. Kennedy Aircraft Carrier as a member in the US Navy. Throughout his enlistment, he worked at a local bar in Jacksonville Beach where he learned the traits of mixology and sharpened his customer service background. Entrenching himself into a new community, Fernando began engaging in local political and non-profit organizations.

Celia Nass is senior director of Corporate Accounting and Financial Reporting at Southeastern Grocers, the parent company of BI-LO, Harveys, Fresco y Más and Winn-Dixie, which is headquartered in Jacksonville, Florida. She has held leadership positions in corporate accounting, financial reporting, and investor relations, and has provided audit and business advisory services with the public accounting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Donnie Horner III is the Major Gifts Officer at K9s For Warriors in Ponte Vedra, Florida.  K9s is committed to ending veteran suicide and returning our Warriors to a life of dignity and independence. K9s envisions a society where veteran suicide and canine euthanasia are eliminated.

W. Marc Hardesty

Marc Hardesty is a founding partner of the Jacksonville law firm, Hardesty, Tyde, Green & Ashton, P.A. since 1994. Prior to that, he served as assistant state attorney for Florida’s Fourth Judicial Circuit from 1990-1994.

Mr. Hardesty earned his Juris Doctorate from the Mercer University and a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Furman University, where he was a four-year varsity member of the wrestling team.

Jill Langford Dame is the CEO of Leadership Jacksonville.  Her previous employment has included practicing law, teaching, consultancy for nonprofit organizations, and interim executive directorship for nonprofits. She has been actively involved in the Junior League of Jacksonville, PACE Center for Girls Jacksonville, the Nonprofit Center of Northeast Florida, Willing Hands, Girls on the Run of Northeast Florida, Episcopal School of Jacksonville, Jacksonville Women’s Network, The Meninak Club of Jacksonville, and the Florida Bar.

Mario Payne is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ with Raymond James Financial Services, Inc., Member FINRA/SIPC, in San Marco and was previously with Edward Jones Investments. He holds licenses and designations including the Series 6, 7 and 24, Florida Life, Health and Variable Annuity, CFP® and AAMS® certifications. Payne is a U.S. Army veteran, having served as a personnel sergeant during Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Steve Eagerton is Vice President of Investor Relations, Sales Operations and Strategic Initiatives at Black Knight Inc. which is headquartered on Riverside Avenue in Jacksonville, Florida. Steve oversees a variety of initiates in this role including all communications with the investor community, planning and reporting’s on sales operations, as well as Mergers & Acquisitions efforts.
