#A Salute to the Military & Military Families
May is National Military Appreciation Month in the United States. In commemoration, Library staff have curated a list of books that cover diverse aspects of military history, including biographies of famous military leaders, accounts of battles and wars, memoirs of soldiers, stories about military spouses, and more. The list also includes books on military strategy, weaponry, and tactics, as well as books on the impact of war.
Jacksonville Public Library has an AMAZING collection of books featuring stories and information written by and about people from varied backgrounds, races, ethnicities, life experiences, and viewpoints. Throughout the month, the Library will highlight books in our collection by and about people in the military including here on our blog and through book displays in your local library.
