Maisy goes to the library in search of a book about fish and a quiet place in which to read it.
Increase pre-literacy skills as you read together:
- Ask your little one which colors are on the cover of the book, and ask which colors are on the covers of the books in the illustrations.
- Before continuing to read, encourage your little learner to look at the covers of the books Maisy and her friends are holding and guess what the books are about. Ask your little one to look at the books on the bookshelves throughout the book and guess what they are about too.
- After reading about things to do at the library, ask your little one what they like to do at the library.

Materials
- Small cardboard box
- Markers or crayons
- Your little one's favorite book
Instructions
- Fold all box flaps in
- Ask your little one about their favorite book and create a book bin by using markers or crayons to decorate the box like the cover of the book
- Have fun using the book bin to store books checked out from the library
