Use your library card or apply for an ecard here to access our digital library!
Introduces coral reefs and the animals that live there to young readers using simple, repetitive text and photographs, including seahorses, clownfish turtles, eels, and minnows.
Increase pre-literacy skills as you read together:
- Have fun with opposites. Point out big fish and little fish as you read.
- Talk with your little one about the different patterns and colors of fish you find.
- Pretend to swim fast and slowly and move like other sea creatures in the book.
#SING: Five Little Fish
(Tune: Five Little Ducks)
Five little fish went swimming one day
Across the sea and far away
Mama fish went
Splish, splish, splish, splash
And only four little fish came back
Four little fish went swimming one day
Across the sea and far away
Mama fish went
Splish, splish, splish, splash
And only three little fish came back
Three little fish went swimming one day
Across the sea and far away
Mama fish went
Splish, splish, splish, splash
And only two little fish came back
Two little fish went swimming one day
Across the sea and far away
Mama fish went
Splish, splish, splish, splash
And only one little fish came back
One little fish went swimming one day
Across the sea and far away
Mama fish went
Splish, splish, splish, splash
None of the little fish came back
Mama fish went swimming one day
Across the sea and far away
Mama fish went
Splish, splish, splish, splash
And all the little fish came back
