Junior Scholars: Incredible You!

Just in case no one has told you lately, there's only one YOU! This week, we'll explore what makes us each uniquely different. The world would be terribly boring if we were all the same, don't you think? It takes courage to be the True You, especially if everyone else is off doing the same thing. Celebrate what makes you special and share it with everyone, and attend one of our programs this week to meet other incredible individuals!

There's Only One You Book Cover

You're different from everyone else--and it's awesome! This book celebrates all the things that make you special. From the way you look to the activities you enjoy--there's no wrong way to be yourself. Do you like sports, art, spelling, or math? Do you like more than one? Do you hang out with lots of friends or maybe a few? Whoever you are, it's great being you!

#PLAY: Catch the Compliment!

Family Playing a Game Outside

This is a game for two or more players. You'll need a soft ball to toss back and forth (like a beach ball or foam ball). It can be played outdoors or indoors (but be mindful of the space!).

Two players stand across from one another, or if there are more, they stand in a circle. The player with the ball tosses it to another person, and as they toss it, gives that person a compliment. The player who catches the ball gives a compliment to the person they toss it to, and so on. To make the game more challenging, add another ball. The compliments will be flying as players learn what others think makes them unique and special!
