Teen Think Tank: National Puzzle Day

Hi Everyone!

Do you love the challenge of solving a good puzzle? I do! Did you know they're not just fun, but good for us, too? Celebrated on the 29th of January every year, the National Puzzle Day is to remind ourselves how puzzles can keep our brains working smart. Puzzles have been quite popular among all age groups across the world and they come in different forms and kinds. There are Sudoku puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, crosswords, and many more different types of puzzles in the world. It doesn't matter how old you are or which kind of puzzle you choose to work on, they help in stimulating your brain cells and making them active! And when the puzzles require you to work with others, you will develop and hone your social interactive skills as well.

So, how should we celebrate National Puzzle Day? The most obvious way is to spend your time-solving puzzles, right? It could be a crossword or a word search puzzle depending on what you want to do. Enjoy doing it by yourself or share a competition with your friends on the fastest completion of the game. If you regularly solve puzzles for fun, try switching to a new kind of puzzle on National Puzzle Day. You could even try coming up with your own puzzle, and see if your friends can solve it!

Check out the resources below for other puzzle related fun, then let me know what you did to celebrate National Puzzle Day by emailing me at jplyouthservices@coj.net, subject line: Teen Think Tank.

Stay safe and have a great week!
