Adapted by Cedella Marley, Bob Marley's eldest child, and exuberantly illustrated by Alea Marley, Is This Love? is a joyful ode to the unshakeable love shared by all those who call one another family.
Increase pre-literacy skills as you read together:
- Sing the book to a steady beat or to the tune of Is This Love? by Bob Marley.
- Before continuing with the story, ask your little one to tell you what they think is happening on the page, or ask them to re-tell the story in their own words.
- Repeat rhyming words like "know" and "grow" and run a finger under them as you say them.

Materials
- 3-5 sheets of construction paper in different colors
- Crayons, pencils, markers or water-soluble paint
- Scissors
Instructions
- Together with your little learner, draw or paint hearts on the construction paper.
- Decorate the hearts however you choose. For example, a heart could have squiggly lines, and another could have spirals.
- When the hearts are complete or have dried, cut them out then cut the hearts in half.
- Jumble the halves and spread them out then ask your little one to match them.
