September is Library Card Sign Up Month and we want to see your library card or help you get one you can show off. We've got a goal of getting 2,800 new cards during September (that's about at pre-COVID levels), and we know we can get there with you by our side.

Take a photo of you and your Jacksonville Public Library card and email it to us with a little bit about why you love having a library card, or, even better, post it on your social media and tag us (@jaxlibrary on all social media platforms) so all your friends can see how important this is to you.
You can also use the hashtag #librarycardsignupmonth to join the national buzz.
We might even use your photo in a promotion during the month (with your permission)! Can't wait for your photo to come rolling in!

You can get a card in just a couple of minutes online. Click here to fill out the application and if approved you'll be off and running, ready to check out e-books, digital audiobooks, streaming movies, and more.
But don't miss out on everything there is in your neighborhood library! Stop by to sign up for a card or to turn your e-card into one that unlocks the other library products and services you'll love. Borrow books and DVDs, attend stellar programs, use computers, and much more.
OVERDUE FINE-FREE
But what about those pesky overdue fines? Do you remember sweating about getting library materials back in on time, panicked that you might have a bunch of fines racked up on your account and just stopping going to the library altogether?
Worry no more. Thanks to Mayor Curry, Jacksonville City Council, and the Board of Library Trustees, Jacksonville Public Library is overdue fine-free. If you need a little more time to finish that novel or just aren't able to get your materials back in time, you've got worry-free flexibility.
