# Two Saturdays Full of Bookish Fun
Jax Book Fest returns this year over two Saturdays at the Main Library. This annual celebration brings together authors, readers, writers, and book lovers of all types. Mark your calendars and get ready to dive into the magic of books at this year's event!
# September 13: Writers' Day
Are you an aspiring author? Are you itching to see your book on the Library's shelves? Join us on Saturday, September 13, from 10 to 3:30 p.m. for free writing and publishing workshops—lead by publishers, authors, and other industry insiders. With a Marketing Track, a Publishing Track, and a Writing Track, there's plenty to learn and implement wherever you are in your publishing journey. Between workshops, there will also be tours, opportunities to network with local writer's groups, and more. Plus, stay after for a bonus Lit Chat Interview with National Book Award Winner Tiya Miles.
# September 20: Youth Readers' Day
On Saturday, September 20, from 9:30 to 2 p.m. there will be a Teen Lit Chat Author Interview with Shannon Messenger, the New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of the Keeper of the Lost Cities series and a Junior Lit Chat Author Talk with New York Times bestselling author and U.S. National Ambassador for Young People's Literature, Mac Barnett. Throughout the day, you'll also have the opportunity to meet and support 50+ local authors, check out the new River City Readers Bookmobile, and participate in fun giveaways, face painting, and other fun book-related activities.
# Both days are free to attend and open to all. Registrations are now closed.
