Wear your best cape and cowl (or that really cool bow tie and fez) and join us for a fandom-filled celebration of reading, pop culture and fandom for all ages! Beaches Library Comic Fest returns in 2025 for its 10th annual celebration on Saturday, May 3, from 1 – 4 p.m This FAN-tastic event is sponsored by Friends of the Beaches Branch Library and organized by your favorite librarians. It features some local cosplayers, gamers, and comic creators from the Beaches community and beyond.

The Yule Ball for All returns to the Beaches Branch Library! Celebrate the magic of the season with other members of the Harry Potter fandom on Saturday, January 6 from 2-4 p.m. You can dance, make and take several themed crafts, play Quidditch and other games, drink butterbeer, and get a photo in your fancy dress robes (or other Harry Potter cosplay)! Sponsored by the Friends of the Beaches Branch Library.

Scare up some friends (ages 12-17) and join us for budget-friendly costume tips, practice with special effects makeup, spooky book recommendations, themed games, treats, and more!

It's a complete takeover of the Teen Advisory Board from October 23 through November 3!

Dust off those capes, grab your favorite set of dice, and start your next adventure downtown at the Main Library on Saturday, March 22. It's a celebration of all the books, comics, video games, TV shows, and movies you love with cosplay contests, one-shot D&D sessions, video game tournaments and so much more!
