This position reports to the Deputy Chief Librarian for Public Services and leads strategic initiatives to expand awareness, access, and engagement with Jacksonville Public Library services, programs, and resources. This Manager for Library Outreach (MLO) plays a key role in coordinating staff participation at community events, developing outreach efforts that bring residents into library spaces, and ensuring equitable access to library offerings beyond our physical locations. The MLO builds relationships and fosters connections with individuals and organizations across Jacksonville’s diverse communities. They provide leadership, supervision, training, and guidance to staff involved in outreach, ensuring that services are inclusive, impactful, and aligned with the Library’s mission.
