Lit Chat with James Patterson

# James Patterson Presents: Comfort Food for Bookworms

To be a bookseller or librarian… You have to play detective. Be a treasure hunter. A matchmaker. An advocate. A visionary. A person who creates “book joy” by pulling a book from a shelf, handing it to someone, and saying, “You’ve got to read this. You’re going to love it.”

Step inside The Secret Lives of Booksellers and Librarians and meet the smart and talented people who live between the pages—and who can’t wait to help you find your next favorite book!

The Secret Lives of Booksellers and Librarians

This lighthearted compendium of first-person reflections from librarians and booksellers will be released on April 8, which is also the start of National Library Week. Jacksonville Public Library has the unique honor of welcoming the book's prolific author to the Conference Center at Main Libary for the start of his official book tour.

Lit Chat Interview with James Patterson, Monday, April 8, at 7 p.m. Mr. Patterson will be appearing live at the Main Library’s Hicks Auditorium. As space inside the auditorium is limited, the interview will also be livestreamed online via Zoom. Currently, in-person seating is full (with a wait list). But there are plenty of seats available if you'd like to attend online!

Please note: After the interview, Mr. Patterson will ONLY be signing copies of The Secret Lives of Booksellers and Librarians. No other books will be signed. As this event is occurring on release date, books are available for pre-order from San Marco Books and More for pick-up at the event. A limited number will also be available to purchase on-site.
