Katherine Reay has enjoyed a lifelong affair with books. Known for infusing classic literature allusions, especially from Jane Austen, into her writing, she explores themes of human nature and transformation. Her historical fiction, such as The Berlin Letters (2024)—an NPR "Must Read"—often features Cold War-era espionage.
Reay publishes both fiction and nonfiction, holds a BA and MS from Northwestern University, and currently lives outside Bozeman, MT, with her husband and too many dogs.
