"We move fast. We glance and continue. We assume we have seen what is there.

This collection is an invitation to stop.

Every image in Look Again was captured exactly as the moment existed — unedited, unaltered, unchanged. No filters. No adjustments. What you see is what was there. And yet, in each frame, there is more than the eye catches on first glance.

I have spent years learning to slow down — to look at what others walk past, to find the sacred in the ordinary, the extraordinary in the overlooked. These photographs are not manipulated moments. They are real ones, waiting to be seen.

All I ask is that you look again."

— Sunil Ancha

Spring Serenade by Kristina Hoover shows multiple birds perched on the branches of an orange tree

In the Betty Francis Art Gallery on the 3rd Floor Mezzanine:

Artist and printmaker Kristina Hoover took her first printmaking class 15 years ago and instantly fell in love. She continued to pursue printmaking while attending Memphis College of Art, where she received a BFA in printmaking, and Clemson University, where she earned her MFA.

"My surroundings, daily life, and the lush Florida landscape inspire my work. I work very intuitively, letting the process transform my marks and colors. I connect with the physicality and tactility of the printmaking process; it's like creating two-dimensional sculpture.

Now, she creates original art for people's homes by hand-carving, inking, and pressing woodblocks. Citrus and Saltwater: a Wood and Lino Cut Print Exhibition by Kristina Hoover runs June 16 - July 24.
