Meet Local, Self-Published Zine and Comic Creators

Read Zines at the Jacksonville Public Library

The next Duval Comics and Zine (DCAZ) Fest is coming to the Main Library on Saturday, June 10 from 1 – 5 p.m. Get to know dozens of local creators of independent and self-published zines, mini-comics, small press, alternative press, underground art and DIY media. Located in the heart of downtown Jacksonville, the Main Library boasts the largest public collection of zines in the Southeast.

Call for Zines

Attention Jacksonville: We want your self-published zines, comics, booklets, and mini magazines for the Library’s Zine Collection! Whether you’re new to the medium, established zinester, or somewhere in between, submit a copy of your work to the Library. We accept zines of different shapes, sizes and formats. Whether hand drawn or hand written, photocopied and stapled, or professionally-printed: we want to see it all!

DCAZ - Duval Comic and Zine Festival

DCAZ, Completely Booked

We sit down with Dawn Wailey and Lindsey Anderson from DCAZ to talk about the Duval Comics and Zine Fest. Originally scheduled for March 28 at the Main Library, the event has been postponed due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.  DCAZ will be Jacksonville’s first event designed to celebrate regional self-publishers. This free event will offer tabling for self-publishers to showcase their work, bookbinding, zine-making workshops and panel discussions featuring the local creators who helped lay the foundation for Northeast Florida’s DIY and self-publishing community.
