Open Call: Local Artists, Authors, Makers, Cosplayers & More
Jacksonville Public Library is looking for around 40 local creators to showcase or sell their original and fandom-inspired creations at Jax Pop Con. If you're a cosplayer or if you have custom prints, stickers, self-published comics, 3D-printed miniatures, hand-made plushies, or other items to sell, let's talk!
Now in its third year, this free event is an all-ages celebration of gaming, cosplay, reading, and all things pop culture. Artist Alley is always in the center of the action. Read the Library's blog or sign up for email newsletters to see the schedule of events, list of special guests, and more.

Important information:
- This is a request form, not a contract. This form does not guarantee a space at Jax Pop Con Vol. 3. Those who are selected to participate will be notified by February 23, 2026.
- All artists, helpers, and attendees must follow the Library's Code of Conduct.
- We want to celebrate fans and their artistry. Any art sold must be original art. Fan-created artwork that is clearly based on (or very similar to) existing copyrighted artwork cannot be sold at this event; it is considered an unauthorized “derivative work” or an unauthorized reproduction (by substantial similarity) and therefore infringes the original copyright holder’s rights under 17 U.S.C. § 106. To be considered transformative (and therefore protected under Fair Use), fan art must add something new and different to the original work. Fair Use allows for the limited use of copyrighted material for the purpose of criticism, commentary, or parody. Art that is traced, copied, or AI-made will also be asked to be removed from the show.
- This is an all-ages show. Do not openly display any 18+ material or merchandise. Anything above a PG-13 rating should be covered, clearly marked as such, and accessible only with assistance.
- The artist bears all responsibility and risk for the items brought for sale to Jax Pop Con.
- Tables must be staffed by at least one person at all times. According to our Code of Conduct, the Library will not be held responsible for any unattended items. Please note: Library staff and volunteers are not allowed to man tables or conduct transactions.
- Table space and chairs are provided. We ask that you bring your own tablecloth, signage, and other materials needed for an attractive booth space.
- Library staff and volunteers will not be available to help set up or break down booths.
- You are also responsible for bringing your own cash and/or card readers for book sales. The Library cannot make change for exhibitors and no banks located Downtown are open on Saturday.
- Free public Wi-Fi is available but can be slow during big events.
- During special events, the Duval Street (Library) Parking Garage charges a special event rate of $5 for the day (and there is no validation for library visitors). Fee is due upon entry.
- Street parking in Downtown Jacksonville is always free on the weekends.
Note: There is no table fee but we do encourage vendors to get a library card (if they don't already have one). Membership is free for Duval County residents with a valid ID. Sign up for a card online in as little as two minutes or visit your nearest Jacksonville Public Library location.
