Library Materials by Mail

Jacksonville Public Library offers a free program that delivers library materials to Duval County residents who cannot come to the library due to illness or disability.

If you are a resident adult, you can apply for a library card online. If you are completing this form on behalf of a minor (under 18 years old), you will need to visit your nearest library location in person to apply for a juvenile card. Note: You will be responsible for what they borrow. Please bring one piece of identification for each of you. For more information, read our Customer Accounts and Privileges Policy. Available materials are regular print books, Large Print books, audiobooks on CD, music CDs, and DVDs.

Available materials are regular print books, Large Print books, audiobooks on CD, music CDs and DVDs. There is a limit of 5 items per shipment.

Customers who can only read large print books due to a visual impairment and who file the Certification of Disability form with our office, may qualify for the Free Matter for the Blind or Handicapped postal subsidy. Learn more about or apply for our free Talking Books service.
