Learn a new language using a self-paced, online language-learning system.  Transparent Language offers courses in over 100 languages.  Learn a foreign language before departing for your next trip with your Jacksonville Public Library card.

Transparent Language also includes KidsSpeak, a fun, easy to use language learning program for young learners.  Designed for elementary aged children 6 and up KidSpeak offers courses in Chinese, English, French, German, Italian, and Spanish.

Create an account to save and retrieve ongoing lessons:
When accessing this database remotely, you will see "Sign Up With Barcode or User ID"
When clicked, you will be asked for bar code which is your library card number.
Enter your library card number using lower case letters to create an account to save and retrieve ongoing lessons.

Unfortunately Transparent Language does not offer courses on Ancient Greek or Ancience Egyptian heirogyphics so reading the Rosetta Stone will require further study.  For assistance on resources for those languages please consult a librarian.
