The Genealogy Collection houses material relating to Florida and the southeastern United States, with a growing body of material on the Mid-Atlantic states and reference materials for the original 13 colonies.

Resources for both the novice and the expert family history researcher are gathered in one place with specially trained library staff ready to help you in your research.  Uncover clues to your past through census records, Duval County probate records, more than 2,000 family and county histories, and more.

The Jacksonville Public Library is a certified FamilySearch Center, giving you access to the world's largest collection of genealogical materials.  These records include information from vital records, military records, church records and much more.

While you're visiting the library, you can also access Ancestry Library Edition.  This online research database is powered by Ancestry.com which delivers billions of records in census data, vital records, directories, photos and more.
