Drop in to your favorite branch of Jacksonville Public Library for family board game nights, tabletop roleplaying games, video games, and more!
Many library locations regularly host:

All Ages Welcome
Whether you're a teen hanging out after school or a family looking for fun, free activities: gamers of all ages are welcome. Live action gaming is a regular part of many programs and events for kids and teens, with challenges inspired by your favorite books. There is even a dedicated Board Game Night for adults every first Wednesday of the month (during Art Walk) at the Main Library. Plus, many library locations have board games and card games you can use while you're there.
Game Guides Added to the Collection
Recently, we expanded our collection with some exciting new Tabletop Roleplaying Game (TTRPG) rulebooks. These game guides are available for checkout at multiple locations and are designed to get you (and a group of friends) started playing at the Library or at home.

Avatar Legends, the Roleplaying Game

The One Ring

Start Your D&D Adventure
Are you looking for a safe, fun, and collaborative environment to play Dungeons & Dragons? Join our table! You'll find Dungeons & Dragons games for kids, teens and adults happening regularly at multiple library locations. All experience levels welcome!
Are you a first-time player?
- Participate in a short campaign designed to give hands-on experience
- Character sheets, dice, and minis will be provided
- No previous experience needed
You can even find exciting one-shot adventures during special events like Jax Pop Con.
Experienced Game Master?
We're always on the lookout for volunteers to help run games. If you're interested, ask a librarian how you can get started or visit our volunteer page. Applicants must be 16 years of age or older. Before you apply, read the description of a "Volunteer Game Master". We also have D&D rulebooks available to check out if you need to brush up or want to learn a new system or edition.
