The Jacksonville Public Library seeks a dynamic and accomplished professional to serve as its Assistant Director for Library Advancement.
This top-level executive position provides strategic and hands-on leadership for the Library’s advancement efforts, including fundraising, donor and volunteer stewardship, grants, sponsorships, corporate partnerships, and external relationship-building. As a member of the Library’s executive leadership team, the Assistant Director for Library Advancement will help shape the future of one of Jacksonville’s most trusted and valued public institutions.
Reporting to the Chief Librarian/Library Director, the successful candidate will lead a team of staff and volunteers while working closely with the Library Foundation of Jacksonville, the Friends of the Jacksonville Public Library, community partners, donors, corporate sponsors, and Library leadership to grow support for vital and innovative library services across Jacksonville.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and evaluate annual and long-term philanthropic plans with measurable outcomes.
- Cultivate and steward gifts, grants, donations, sponsorships, and underwriting support from individuals, foundations, corporations, and community partners.
- Lead advancement staff and volunteers while serving as liaison to the Library Foundation of Jacksonville, the Friends of the Jacksonville Public Library, and other affinity groups.
