#Celebrating America's 248th Birthday!

There are so many traditions when it comes to the Fourth of July. Why not create a new one by adding a few books to your day with family wherever you may find yourself? At Jacksonville Public Library we have a variety of books you can choose from chosen by our awesome librarians! You'll be sure to find something you love to read with your little ones.

Whether you are eating an apple pie in the A/C or reading in the shade at the family barbecue - we have something for everyone. We've highlighted a few of these books for young readers to help you get the party started! Are you interested yet?! Read on!

Reminder: All Jacksonville Public Library locations will be closed on July 4 in observance of the Independence Day holiday. We will reopen on Friday, July 5, for normal business hours.

Our citywide goal of reading a million minutes in 2024 was completed this month! Will you help us to reach our new goal? At the end of the year, the city’s top young readers will be given prizes!
