# Celebrating Emerging Artists
Libraries and discovery go hand-in-hand. A great book can spark a lifetime of curiosity. And nothing quite beats that look of awe and surprise on a child's face the first time they walk into a library... All they have to do is use their imagination and worlds of possibilities await them!
The annual Elementary Art Exhibition honors the fantastic work of student artists and their teachers in the Visual Art programs at Duval County Public Schools.
The Best of Elementary Art Exhibition at Main Library
You can check out the best work from Elementary student artists from around the city at our "Best of" exhibition March 15 through April 12 at the Main Library. Note: This exhibition will be followed closely by our annual Best of Middle School Art Exhibition (April 18 - May 10).
If you're visiting downtown on Wednesday, April 2, for Art Walk, don't forget to stop by the Main Library! We're open until 9 p.m. for the festivities! In case you didn't know: Main Library is located beside the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) Jacksonville and directly across the street from James Weldon Johnson Park, one of Art Walk's major hubs.
There will also be an Open House for student artists and their families on Saturday, April 5 at 3:30 p.m. Shortly after the exhibit at the Main Library, a virtual exhibition will be available to share and enjoy. Check out the 2024 Exhibition on the Northeast Florida Art Education Association website.
