# Move Over, Cupid!
February 14 is a very special date for libraries, librarians, and the people who love us! Library Lovers Day (sometimes also known as Valentine's Day) is dedicated to all of the book lovers here in Jacksonville (and around the world) who rely on their public library for their books, movies, music, author talks, storytimes, writing workshops, and so much more!
We love our library fans and we certainly feel the love from all of you!
Spreading Library Joy: A Lit Chat with Author James Patterson
You already know this (but just in case you missed it): Jacksonville Public Library is the best place in town to meet your favorite bestselling and local authors! But this one is kind of a big deal...
James Patterson, the most popular storyteller of our time, is coming to the Main Library to kick off the tour for his new release, The Secret Lives of Booksellers and Librarians, on Monday, April 8, at 7 p.m.
An important note: After the interview, Mr. Patterson will ONLY be signing copies of The Secret Lives of Booksellers and Librarians. No other books will be signed. As this event occurs on the release date, you can pre-order books from San Marco Books and More, and a limited number will be available to purchase on-site.
James Patterson is the creator of unforgettable characters and series, including Alex Cross, the Women’s Murder Club, Jane Effing Smith, and Maximum Ride, and of breathtaking true stories about the Kennedys, John Lennon, and Princess Diana, as well as our military heroes, police officers, and ER nurses. He has coauthored #1 bestselling novels with Bill Clinton and Dolly Parton and received an Edgar Award, ten Emmy Awards, the Literarian Award from the National Book Foundation, and the National Humanities Medal.
