Happy Father's Day
On the third Sunday in June, we celebrate fathers, fatherhood, and paternal figures and bonds of all kinds. Jacksonville Public Library has a great collection of books about fathers and fatherhood that kids and their dads are sure to love!
Of course, summer is a great time to read as a family. Not only does it help prevent learning loss while the kids are out of school for the summer, it gives dads an opportunity for quality time and connection with their kids. You can listen to an audiobook together in the car on your next road trip. Or grab a book of spooky ghost stories to read around the campfire!
Note: June is also Men's Mental Health Awareness Month. So, in addition to books about exercise, homebrewing, and (of course) dad jokes: Library staff have included a few books that speak to some of the challenges that fathers face as well as ways to get and stay healthy.
