Happy 250th Birthday, America!
How does your family celebrate our nation's independence? Do you wake up early on the Fourth of July to bake that all-American apple pie? Or do you invite family, friends, and neighbors over for a big barbeque in the backyard? Of course, there are also parades and fireworks and all sorts of fun traditions that we do together as neighbors, friends and fellow citizens!
It's also great time for sharing stories or diving into history. The Library has fiction and nonfiction books for all ages that demonstrate the grand diversity and the rich tapestry of experiences that make our country and Jacksonville so great. Stop by the Library this month to check them out!
Please note: All Jacksonville Public Library locations will be closed on Friday and Saturday, July 3-4, in observance of the Fourth of July Independence Day holiday.
