#Propose an Art Exhibit at the Library
Jacksonville Public Library provides space at select branches for temporary exhibits in support of its mission to enrich lives, build community, and foster success by bringing people, information, and ideas together. These exhibits may be educational, cultural, civic, or artistic in nature. All exhibits will be considered by the criteria for selection listed in the Library's exhibit policy.
There is a mandatory waiting period of 6 months after your last library exhibit before you can submit another proposal.
Jacksonville Public Library has seven locations that offer temporary exhibit spaces. Artists and others who are Library members, may propose exhibitions or projects for a specific library in the system, but the Library reserves the right to select the final location based on availability, space constraints, and other factors. Click on a library location to review designated spaces and dimensions available for exhibiton.
#Exhibit Timeframe
If you propose a specific time frame to exhibit, Library staff will work with you to schedule an exhibition period that is mutually agreeable. Exhibitions should last a minimum of one month. Jacksonville Public Library often schedules exhibitions to coincide with yearly and monthly commemorations, including months that honor various heritages or cultural groups.
