Pete the Cat and the Treasure Map Book Cover

Use your library card or apply for an ecard here to access our digital library!

Pete the Cat and his crew battle a sea monster as they follow a map to find a hidden treasure.

Increase pre-literacy skills as you read together:

  • Act out the story. For example, pretend to steer the ship with Pete, drum with the octopus, or rock back and forth on the ship with the crew.
  • Talk with your little one and ask questions about what Pete and his crew are wearing.
  • Choose a word such as captainpirate, or treasure and ask your little learner to listen closely for it. Run your finger under the chosen word every time it is read.
