Winter is almost here! Get ready for winter fun with this week's books and activities.
#READ: First Snow by Nancy Viau

Use your library card or apply for an ecard here to access our digital library!
Snowflakes falling! What a treat! Friends gather outside to celebrate the first snowfall of the season with snowball fights, sledding, building igloos, drinking hot chocolate, and making the most of a windy, wintry day.
Increase pre-literacy skills as you read together:
- Learn and practice saying words such as "igloo" and "sled" while reading about various winter activities.
- Ask your little one to point out items on the page as you read the names of the items aloud.
- Pause while reading the story to ask your little learner how they would have fun in the snow.
#SING : Spread Winter Cheer
(Tune: We Wish You A Merry Christmas)
Let’s all do a little walking
Let’s all do a little walking
Let’s all do a little walking
To spread winter cheer!
Let’s all do a little waving
Let’s all do a little waving
Let’s all do a little waving
To spread winter cheer!
Let’s all do a little wiggling
Let’s all do a little wiggling
Let’s all do a little wiggling
To spread winter cheer!
