There's a saying: "a stranger's just a friend you haven't met yet." It's important to have friends, but it can be hard to connect with others sometimes. This week, we'll investigate the bonds of friendship and look into how we can be a great friend. And I can guarantee if you attend a program this week, you'll make some new friends!
Junior Scholars: Incredible You!
Just in case no one has told you lately, there's only one YOU! This week, we'll explore what makes us each uniquely different. The world would be terribly boring if we were all the same, don't you think? It takes courage to be the True You, especially if everyone else is off doing the same thing. Celebrate what makes you special and share it with everyone, and attend one of our programs this week to meet other incredible individuals!

It happens every year...it seems just when summer really gets going, it's already time to be getting ready to go back to school! Hopefully, you all have been having lots of fun and participated in our Summer Reading Program.

Well, everyone, we made it! This is the last week of Oceans of Possibilities! I hope you've earned some great books and amazing prizes, and had fun learning along the way.
Junior Scholars: Our Weird Ocean
The ocean is amazing: it covers 70% of the Earth and is home to 94% of Earth's wildlife. As explorers, we have barely scratched the surface to learn about it. More than 80% of the ocean has never been mapped, explored, or even seen by humans. So, we have a long way to go! Join us in week seven of Oceans of Possibilities to check out the things we have learned! And as we close in on the end of Summer Reading, keep logging your reading to earn free books and visit the Library to earn tickets for prizes!
