Human Rights Day Books

Human Rights Day is observed every year on December 10 — the day the United Nations General Assembly, in 1948, proclaimed the inalienable rights to which everyone is entitled as a human being and adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Since it’s founding, the Jacksonville Public Library has been an open-to-all institution and is dedicated to serving every corner of Duval County, every neighborhood and every resident. This booklist focuses on a variety human rights issues – throughout history, in the present day, and with an eye towards the future.
