Restaurants and Shopping Near the Hotel

The Jacksonville Landing
The Jacksonville Landing includes restaurants and some shops and is located across the river from the hotel.

BB's Bistro
Just around the corner from the hotel. BBs is an excellent choice for dinner Thursday night.

San Marco
San Marco Square is a nice little shopping and dinning area 1-2 miles from the hotel. Cab fare is around $4-$6 one way from the hotel. Includes restaurants, shops, and the Jacksonville Theatre. Even though it's close, it's not recommended to walk to San Marco during night and evening hours.

Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra
The JSO will be performing at Jacoby Symphony Hall Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.

Museum of Contemporary Art Jacksonville
MOCA is right next door to the library.

Treaty Oak Park
A short walk from the hotel, features an oak tree almost 200 years old.

Jacksonville Museum of Science & History
MOSH is close to the hotel and the banquet restaurant.

The UNF campus is approximately 12 miles from downtown.

Areas of Interest in the Greater Jacksonville Area

Amelia Island and Fernandina Beach
About 33 miles from the Jacksonville Airport, Fernandina Beach, the largest town on Amelia Island, features restaurants, antiques, and lots of interesting shops on the main drag leading to the water.

St. Augustine
America's oldest city is about 40 miles from Jacksonville. Lots to see and do including climbing to the top of the St. Augustine lighthouse. If you are interested in joining the SEMLA group Saturday afternoon, please email Lynn Jacobson.
