- The David Rumsey Historical Map Collection

- This link will take you to the United States Geological Survey (USGS) site offering Topographical maps
and Arial photographs covering the entire United States. Although the description here is somewhat
complicated, if you find the link "Online Data Bases" or go to the section Query the GNIS Online Data
Bases and click on "United States and Territories", these will lead to the site's Keyword Searching
function, and from there you can get access to the maps. Play with it a little; it is worth your time!

the City of Jacksonville. This link takes you directly to the JAXGIS site which further describes the

- Jacksonville Historical Maps
- The Library of Congress has a wonderful collection of maps as part of its American Memory Collection. The two links below offer you a link to 2 Panoramic or Birdseye views of the Downtown Jacksonville,
Riverside and Springfield areas as they were in 1876 and 1893 respectively. A zoom function will allow you to focus in on particular areas of each map if desired.

Library of Florida History at the University of Florida in Gainesville. It contains more than 2300
