Images in Fiber

Program Description:
The Fiber Artists Network presents a most exciting and unusual exhibition of fiber art.

Each example of hanging art uses some form of natural or modern synthetic fiber. A wide variety of artistic techniques can be seen. Many forms of surface design, such as coloring fabric with paint or dye and embellishing with threads and other materials, are displayed. In addition, digital photography, hand weaving, and many additional intriguing techniques are used.

This exhibit is limited to hanging art. However, future FAN exhibits may include other forms of fiber art such as sculpture, wearable art, paper art, and basketry.

The Fiber Artists Network is a group of professional and emerging studio artists dedicated to exploring the media of fiber art. FAN meets monthly in Jacksonville and exhibits in the Jacksonville area.
