Architectural Firm Original (1958): Kemp, Bunch and Jackson; Renovations (2005): Drake Patillo History Opened May 25, 1961 as Northside Branch in the remodeled Brentwood Theater. Replaced the earlier Springfield Branch. Renamed Brentwood in 1992. Interior renovated in 2005 as part of the Better Jacksonville Plan. Jacksonville City Council District District 7 Services and Programs The library collection includes books, audiobooks on tape and CD, videos and DVDs, and recorded music on tape and CD. Public computers offering Internet access, word processing and online reference resources including the Library catalog. Wireless Internet access for laptops, notebooks, and PDA devices. A meeting room is available for use by groups. Please contact the branch for more information. There is also art on permanent display. Various programs for adults, teens and children are offered throughout the year.
